Electric grinder saves fuel
As the cost of diesel fuel has increased, electric powered wood grinders have become the grinder of choice for an increasing number of grinding professionals.

CW's 800 HP Electric HogZilla TC-1564SE offers increased efficiency, reduced maintenance, massive construction, simplicity, and steady mill RPM generating amazing production from its 46" diameter, super-colossal, 12 pin, hammermill that has an 8-3/4" main shaft.

Although CW offers many other sizes and configurations, the TC-1564SE model shown here is a stationary unit mounted onto a foundation and equipped with a 15' tub that is constructed from ½" thick steel.  The tub floor is made of ¾" thick abrasion resistant steel, and the belly conveyor is 72" wide.
One of several available thrown object restraint options was included on the unit shown, and a wide range of other options are also available including portability options for moving the grinder.

When using 8¢ KW Electricity vs. $3.50 gallon diesel fuel, an energy savings of approx. $20,000 was reported.* With diesel now over $4.50 per gallon, savings will only continue to increase.

*Based on 160 hrs of operation per month near full load.  Data supplied by actual user.  Results may vary.
