The SiCam RealTime MPP System combines Multi-Piece Profile Scanning technology which has been proven in over 50 lumber applications and practical software to deliver a highly accurate lumber size control system for vertical arbour style gangs. Conventional and curve sawing machines are supported for thickness monitoring on both sides and width of every sawline in the stack. The new VSS Gangs have the capability to “drop” saws below the cutting horizon extending production time between changes by progressively using upper saws. 

In addition to its lumber quality features, SiCam can be used as a production, aid taking much of the guesswork out of the decision process. SiCam alarms are sent via text message to pagers or cell telephones immediately identifying a “cooked” saw. On-shift personnel know the exact saw and after they drop it, the change is monitored to ensure that the lumber is back on size.
